Holidays here are already over. Had much fun.

My Aquavibe icon package (for Windows) will be out soon so watch out for that one. And soon the wallpaper package I was working on will be out.


To my watchers, you guys are fucking awesome! But only one or two of you guys truly check out my work. :lol:

My experience with Ubuntu

Wow. So far, Ubuntu 11.04 is one of the best OS I've used (It's Linux based) and I guess I was the first from Nepal to use it. =P
What's good?
• I was playing games on it while it was being installed. Installed quicker than Windows.
• On fresh install, cold boot took just 5 secs. Shutdown took 3 secs.
• After installing 10 GB of softwares and other stuff, booting took nearly 20 secs.
• Adobe Photoshop CS2 ran 'OK' on it. (Haven't managed to get CS5.5 yet)
• There were a lot of free softwares right at my face in just 2-3 clicks.
• Yup. Definitely VIRUS and BOT proof for now.
• Faster File Transfer and superfast Delete!
• Nice clean GUI.
• Probably the first OS that likes to support Torrent.
• Relevant guide readily available on the web. Better customer service.
• Chat, skype, facebook, twitter, etc. all on the taskbar in one place at the top in just one click.
• Safer. No more Antivirus $HIT needed.
• Still in the development process and yet so much usable.
• TOTALLY Free and still better.

Why I've moved back to Windows?
• I couldn't make Ubuntu detect my Monitor and got stuck at 1024 X 768 resolution.
• Little glitches while running Windows softwares.
• Couldn't install Adobe Fireworks and Dreamweaver CS5 using Wine.
• Some windows games didn't run perfectly.
• Unoptimized CPU use unless you install CPULIMIT ('sudo apt-get install cpulimit' and do 'sudo cpulimit -p pid -l 50')
• I have a slow internet and can't keep downloading huge upgrades/softwares/games/plugins though they're for free.
• I am a pirate and I love using pirated softwares on Windows. :D
• I don't like 'Mounting' drives everytime I login.
• Transmission is as good as BitTorrent but lacks 'Auto Shutdown' feature.
• I'm simply married to Microsoft Windows. :lol:

Would I come back? Definitely yes!
• When 'Wine' in Ubuntu is able to run all Windows softwares perfectly.
• And when I get a new PC!! :D
